The 24-year-old star, who stayed in her four-million-pound house alone for six days, has returned to London.
According to reports, she had told her friends that she had not been feeling comfortable in the house because she felt lonely.
However, an unsettling incident with a fan was the final straw.
“Leona had just gone to the shops to pick up some bits and pieces and was followed all the way back home by this man,” the Mirror quoted a source as saying.
“She was completely unsettled by this and was pretty relieved to get back to the house safely. But when she looked out of the window later the man was still there, staring right at her. It freaked Leona out big time. She feared she was being stalked,” the source added.
Leona decided to pack her bags and head back to London to see her parents and her boyfriend Lou.
“Right from the off, the place didn’t feel right. Every night Leona was on the phone to friends, saying that she was lonely and not enjoying rattling around a huge house by herself,” said the source.
“Mates came round to sleep over and keep her company but after she saw the bloke staring at her through the window, Leona decided she’d had enough, and jumped on a plane back to the UK,” the source added.
Security at the house is now being beefed up.
The source said: “She’s had new electronic gates put in and CCTV installed which links directly to the local police, station. Hopefully that’ll put her mind at ease slightly. She’s also asked Simon Cowell if he can find Lou, who now works for him, a placement over in the US.”
Leona Lewis would “love” to perform alongside Michael Jackson.
The ‘Bleeding Love’ singer has fuelled reports she will join the pop superstar on stage during his London residency this summer by revealing she is a huge fan.
When asked about the rumours, Leona said with a smile: “I don’t know, I’d love to perform with Michael Jackson. So we’ll see.”
Last month, it was claimed Michael wants Leona to perform his sister Janet’s part from their 1995 duet ‘Scream’ for his ‘This It It’ shows at London’s O2 arena.
A source said: “Michael has a list of singers he feels could do Janet justice – and Leona is top. He hasn’t approached her yet but he’s a big fan of everything she has achieved.
“She’s massive all around the world and he feels this duet would give both their careers an even bigger boost.”
Meanwhile, Leona has spoken out about her relationship with Simon Cowell, who was her mentor when she won UK reality TV show ‘The X Factor’ in 2006.
The 24-year-old star still regularly speaks to the music mogul, but admits he can be difficult to work with.
She said: “I still talk to Simon lots, I am signed to his label and he’s still very much involved in the things I do. He’s honest, very brutal.”
Leona Lewis has been ‘given’ a horse by her friends. The ‘Bleeding Love’ singer was “overwhelmed” when friends put their money together to sponsor a horse for her 24th birthday on Friday. A source said: “Leona is besotted with horses. It’s a bit pricey to splash out on one of her own so they did the next best thing and donated money to sponsor one for her in Los Angeles. She was overwhelmed by everyone’s efforts.” The beauty was thrilled on Friday when her parents, friends and boyfriend Lou Al-Chamaa surprised her by jetting over to the US to help her celebrate the occasion.
Justin Timberlake is confirmed on the official website for Chalice Recording Studios that he works with Leona Lewis in her new single. However, instead of lending his vocals on the song’s lines, Justin serves behind production table.
The title of the song recorded by Leona is “Don’t Let Me Down”. The statement on the Chalice’s web read, “The beautiful and talented, Leona Lewis came in to record a new single called ‘Don’t Let Me Down’ with Justin Timberlake producing and James Fauntleroy writing, this song is a surefire smash hit.”
In another news related to Leona Lewis, the “Bleeding Love” hitmaker has also been rumored to make a duet with Justin Timberlake in a cover version of Whitney Houston’s 1974 song “I Will Always Love You”, which was penned by Dolly Parton. “They will record the track in the next few months and are just waiting for a period when they’re both free to go into the studio. Leona and Justin are huge fans of each other’s music and are raring to go,” a source told The Sun.
Though her new album is yet to be titled, Leona reportedly plans to release the effort in September as a follow up to her debut record “Spirit”. Ne-Yo has been signed as one of the songwriters, and Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic is tapped to produce several tracks.
A lucky Leona Lewis fan got the best ever 21st birthday present after her billionaire father paid the singer to perform at her party.
The 2006 X Factor winner sang seven songs in front of just 200 partygoers in her longest ever concert and was paid ?1million for the night’s work.
Leona, 23, serenaded Phones4U founder John Caudwell’s daughter Libby with a rendition of Happy Birthday.
And lucky Libby even dueted with with the singer on her hit track Bleeding Love at the party at Caudwell’s mansion in Eccleshall, Staffordshire, on Saturday night.
Boyzone star Stephen Gately, 32, who is a family friend, was also at the event and took to the stage to join in.
Robert Pattinson fans would love it if he did a duet with Leona Lewis.
Leona and Robert both have fantastic voices and any single they released would be a surefire hit.
Rob has admitted that he would like to sing with Pop Idol winner Will Young but we think Leona would be a much better choice.
Twilight fan Sebby told MyParkmag: “Rob should definitely sing with Leona. He has so much talent and needs to release a CD asap.”
Other Rob fans would like to see him duet with Coldplay, Kristen Stewart or James Morrison.
