Leona Lewis has been lined up to sing at Simon Cowell’s 50 birthday party on Saturday.
Leona — who shot to fame on Cowell’s UK TV show The X Factor in 2006 — will perform in front of 350 guests at the $500,000 bash in a Hertfordshire mansion.
Although Cowell is splashing the cash on his party, he doesn’t want hi guests to splash out on him.
“Simon has made it clear he doesn’t want presents. He’s worried X Factor judges Dannii Minogue, Cheryl Cole and Louis Walsh will start competing to see who can get him the most lavish gift,” a source told British newspaper The Sun.
“He’s a very wealthy man already and just wants to make sure his nearest and dearest have a brilliant night.”
One guest that like won’t be attending the bash is Simon’s former fellow American Idol judge Paula Abdul.
“So bummed! I might not be able to go to Simon’s B-day after all,” Abdul recently wrote on her Twitter page. “Waiting on the Dr to see if I’ll get over this flu in time. Even had a funny surprise in store for him.”

LEONA LEWIS is devastated after four unfinished songs were LEAKED on the internet. They include possible future singles Brave and I Got You.
A source said: “We think one of her producer’s computers was hacked into. It’s a really serious breach.” Leona was tipped off by fans, who told her they love the new material. I do too!
Leona Lewis’ new album is inspired by Coldplay. The ‘Bleeding Love’ singer is working on the long-awaited follow-up LP to her debut release ‘Spirit’ and has been listening to her favorite group to get ideas for a new rockier sound.
A source told Britain’s The Sun newspaper: “Leona was really happy with the success of her cover of Snow Patrol’s ‘Run’, so she thought it logical to try her hand at a more rock-based sound.
“She’s a huge Coldplay fan and their influence is strong on a number of demos.” Leona – who shot to fame after winning UK TV talent show ‘The X Factor’ in 2006 – is expected to release her new album in November. The record is rumored to feature several star guests, including Justin Timberlake, Ne-Yo and super-producer Timbaland.
Leona recently promised her fans will be surprised by the finished LP. The 24-year-old star also revealed she plans to undertake her first ever solo tour once the album is released. She confirmed: “I’ll be touring in 2010 and through to the year after. I just can’t wait.”
MAKING very sure she silences whispers of a split with boyfriend of four years Lou Al-Chamaa , Leona Lewis hinted wedding bells may be ringing out for the couple very soon.
The singer said: “After my family and Lou, I missed EastEnders the most while I was in LA.
“Lou kept flying back and forth and we have been together long enough to know that we are strong enough to get through that.
“You never know, an engagement could be on the horizon soon. We are very much in love.”
