Leona Lewis has recorded the lead song for new James Cameron film “Avatar”.
“I See You” will play over the film’s ending credits.
The former X Factor winner produced the track alongside James Horner and Simon Franglen, who were responsible for Celine Dion’s “My Heart Will Go On”, the lead song from Cameron’s 1997 film “Titanic”.
“Avatar” will appear in cinemas in December, in both 2D and 3D.
Lewis, meanwhile, is gearing up for her first tour of the UK, due to start next summer.
British pop star LEONA LEWIS has dismissed rumors she recently went under the knife for a boob job – insisting her assets are all natural.
The Bleeding Love hitmaker has shown off a fuller figure over the last few weeks, fueling speculation she has boosted her chest with cosmetic surgery.
But Lewis insists the stories aren’t true – blaming her inflated bosom on recent weight gain.
She says, “Every few months I get people asking me if I’ve had a boob job. No, I haven’t. With me, every time my weight goes up or down a little bit, it’s so noticeable there and people start to speculate about it. But, no, they aren’t fake.”
Leona Lewis has revealed all about her EMAs performance and love of fellow diva Beyonce.
Speaking to MTV News after the show the Happy singer said: “I think it went really well, I had a really good time I got into the song.”
Asked about her favorite moment the star said: “I’m a huge fan of Beyonce and it was amazing to perform on the same stage.
“She’s such a strong, powerful female, she’s got a strong presence in the music industry and she’s got great music.”
Talking about host city Berlin Lewis explained: “On the anniversary of the wall coming down it represents freedom and I think it’s great to be here to celebrate that.”
LEONA LEWIS broke down in tears when a shop assistant allegedly insulted her and her father with “racist” slurs and forced the pair to leave the store.
The Bleeding Love singer and her Guyana-born dad Joe were shopping in the U.K. capital recently when a female worker reportedly began to hurl abuse at the star.
Lewis was left dumbstruck when the unidentified assistant said her father looked suspicious and threatened to call the police unless they left the shop.
The 24 year old says, “I went up to the till (cash register) and asked how much it (a photo frame) cost. But the woman told us to get out.
“I couldn’t believe it. I asked what she meant and she said, ‘I don’t like the look of him’. Pointing at my dad, she said, ‘He’s been standing outside my shop and I want him to go right now. I know why you’re coming in here.’
“She came up to my face, shouting, ‘Get out or I’m calling the police’. It was disgusting. I just couldn’t believe someone was shouting at me in front of so many people.”
The incident left Lewis shaken and she left the shop in floods of tears.
She adds, “I was crying and bawling. I said, ‘No. I’ll call the police. This is racism.’ Afterwards, I sat outside in the car for ten minutes as he tried to calm me down. I’d never experienced anything like that. Being judged by the colour of your skin is horrible.”
Lewis is still recovering after a fan lashed out at her during a book signing session in London last month (Oct09).
British singer Leona Lewis has reacted with dismay to some of the media chatter about the fact that she is still dating the same boyfriend she had before she found fame.
Lewis, 24, has been with electrician Lou Al-Chamaa since she was 17 and calls him her “best friend” in a new interview.
When she was asked about the “snide bewilderment” that accompanies references to their enduring love, she says, “It does make me angry. Because he’s a great person. And it doesn’t matter what you do in life, what your job is, where you come from.”
Speaking to The Observer, she says, “This is real life, it isn’t make believe. For people to think that you should leave someone because, all of a sudden, you’re a singer and you have opportunities. I feel very sorry for them.”
Lewis, who shot to fame on the British talent show The X Factor, still lives in the gritty area of Hackney, east London, where she grew up and says she stays grounded by surrounding herself with people she has known for years.
“All my friends I’ve known since I was really little. It’s not that I don’t let new people in,” she says in the interview, “but I do feel safe with people that really know me, who know who I am.”
Lewis was talking to promote her book Dreams – copies of which she was signing when she was punched by a fan earlier this month. A man has since been charged and will appear in court on Monday.

Earlier in a statement, Lewis, who won ITV1’s X Factor in 2006, said she had been left “extremely hurt and upset”.Lewis, 24, had been signing copies of her forthcoming autobiography, Dreams, at the event, but cut her visit short after she was hit.
She told fans: “I’m very sorry to those I wasn’t able to meet at the signing. “Thank you again for all of the lovely messages. Love you all.” She also canceled a day-long promotional visit to Germany on Thursday as she recovered.
The three-time Grammy Award nominee released her debut single A Moment Like This shortly after winning X Factor three years ago and has enjoyed chart success on both sides of the Atlantic.
Lewis’s second album, Echo, is scheduled for release in November.
Remember your true fans love you Leona and be strong!
Leona Lewis sophomore set, “Echo,” hits stores this November 17th. “I titled my album ‘ECHO’, since an echo describes a big, organic sound. I’m in the midst of the recording process, working with incredible songwriters and producers, and my music has really evolved. It’s so exciting to create something new,” Leona said. The debut single, “Happy” was written by Ryan Tedder of the group One Republic. Tedder also produced her monster hit, “Bleeding Love”. “It’s a contradiction of song because, yes, it’s named ‘Happy,’ but the song’s kind of dark, a bit sad, somber,” she said.
The album includes production and songwriting from Justin Timberlake, Claude Kelly, Ryan Tedder, Max Martin, and Ne-Yo. “In my songs I want people to go on a journey, and (to get to) happiness, you go through a lot of pain and sadness to get there sometimes and that’s what we wanted to convey on the song,” she added.
